![]() ![]() It's a read that stands up well even now. They are full people who are interesting and dynamic. And the treatment of Oberon (who is a dwarf) and Barda (a woman and if you don't think that's worth noting when discussing comics, you're wrong) is respectful and still a bit progressive even now. There's always something to look at and admire, but the fact that you can do that doesn't pull away from the rest of the story. The three of them make a great team to go up against all kinds of baddies from Apokolips, including Granny Goodness, who may be my new favorite villain. ![]() Big Barda is brash and smashy and also intelligent and savvy. Scott Free is a good guy, matched up with a smart and capable right-hand man in Oberon. While there are a few moments the age shows through, overall, this book is damn near ageless. A great, fun book that has aged especially well. ![]()
